Brendan Clark is one of the most experienced and respected physiotherapists on the Central Coast. Brendan is a local and has helped thousands of patients over more than 30 years. Brendan’s early days after graduating from Sydney University in 1988 (when Andrew finished primary school and Patrick had his second birthday!) were spent in a variety of interesting settings, from private practice, public hospitals, private rehabilitation and healthcare centres, in interesting places across Australia, England and Scotland. Brendan returned home, started raising the first of his 5 children with wife Lynita, and opened the doors to his own private practice, Total Physio Centres at Kanwal, in 1994. While quickly growing his business, Brendan worked at the Sydney Olympics and completed his Masters of Sports Physiotherapy at Sydney University in 2001. He also became fascinated with helping patients suffering from headache and migraine, leading to further study and titling as a Watson Headache® Certified Practitioner in 2014. Brendan is the only physiotherapist on the Central Coast with this level of qualification and regularly receives referrals from doctors, neurologists and other physiotherapists.
Brendan ran his practice for 23 years and has now gone full circle in his career, successfully selling his business in 2017 to free up time, work alongside experienced colleagues again and spend more time with his family and grandkids. This might sound like Brendan is an old bloke, but he is the fittest of all of us by miles and young at heart. Brendan is enjoying immersing himself in doing what he loves most… the thrill of the chase of solving the problems of patients with complex conditions, headache and migraine, neck and shoulder pain. He is also highly experienced in treating sports injuries, working with the Wyong Roos rugby league club for many years. Brendan understands the needs of athletes and regularly undertakes crazy endurance running and cycling events of his own. Brendan could have chosen to work wherever he wanted and we are privileged that he jumped at the chance to be part of our team. If you have a problem and need caring and thoughtful management to get back to your best, you will be in the best of hands with Brendan.
Brendan has also entered the 2019 MS Sydney to the Gong bike ride to ride 82km on 3rd November to support people living with multiple sclerosis.
Because 10 Australians are told they have MS every week. It strikes young people in the prime of their lives, and there is no known cure.
Brendan is riding to FIGHT MS to make his personal impact and change lives.
