Patrick Fleming has over 15 years of experience as a physiotherapist and has an excellent reputation for his thorough assessments, meticulous attention to detail, great manner with his patients and rapid results. Patrick was the first physiotherapist to join Aspire in 2017, the best decision we ever made. Patrick has built an extensive patient following and is routinely in strong demand here at Aspire.

Patrick graduated from the University of Newcastle in 2008 with Merit, winning a University Award for achieving the highest marks in his physiotherapy subjects. Patrick was one of Andrew’s patients when he was a teenager with a lower back stress fracture as a representative fast bowler. Experiencing his own injury recovery inspired Patrick to pursue a career in physiotherapy, as he understands how important it is to help people achieve the same. Patrick has since gained invaluable experience in his private practice roles, including working in the heart of London in clinics at Westminster and London Bridge. Patrick has looked after people from all walks of life and has a special interest in shoulder, knee and lower back injury management.

Patrick joined Aspire when he returned from 2 years working in central London at the prestigious Guys and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust. Patrick had a unique dual role as a private and occupational health Senior Physiotherapist. His team was responsible for providing treatment to over 14,000 employees. Patrick specialised in the assessment and management of work-related neck, shoulder and lower back pain. He would regularly deliver advice regarding optimal work-station set-ups, and complement recovery by using a hands-on approach to improve joint range of motion and muscle flexibility as his patients progressed through their strength and rehab. Patrick enjoys seeing his patients enjoy a successful return to work, and also hearing about how they are able to return to the activities they love, feeling better and stronger than ever before. Patrick knows that being happy and healthy at work is so important for your long-term overall health, but unfortunately many people feel that there is nothing they can do and so just ‘’put up’’ with their aches and pains. If you are suffering with pain at work, or would simply like some advice to optimise your workstation and prevent postural aches and pains common with desk-based job roles, then give Patrick a call to help you feel fantastic at work.

Patrick has gained invaluable experience in his private practice roles. Working in the heart of London and now for over 6 years at Aspire, Patrick has helped people from all walks of life including those from the business and corporate sectors, chefs, tradies, mums and dads, high level footballers, dancers and other athletes. With a special interest in shoulder, knee and lower back management, Patrick utilises a wide variety of highly effective treatment strategies including soft tissue releases, joint mobilisations, muscle energy techniques, dry needling, innovative taping, as well as prescribing individualised rehab programs drawing on principles of strength, conditioning and Pilates. Patrick has also worked with elite London Marathon runners, providing insights into optimising biomechanics and balancing optimal injury management with high training loads. Whether training for a marathon or just running for fitness and fun, you don’t want to be worrying about a nagging pain that is holding you back. Get in touch, and Patrick will help improve your running mechanics and develop a suitable rehab program that will get you running again sooner.

Patrick was born and raised on the Central Coast, playing a wide variety of sports including hockey and cricket. He makes it a high priority to keep up with the latest research to achieve the best possible outcome with his clients.  Patrick loves helping his fellow Coasties achieve their goals.
