Natalie Gale joined us in 2022 and was instrumental in establishing Exercise Physiology at Aspire. She brings 18 years of experience since graduating from University of NSW in 2004 with a BSc (Health and Sports Science) (Honours). Nat is both an Accredited Exercise Scientist and Accredited Exercise Physiologist with Exercise and Sports Science Australia (ESSA).
Nat has always worked in private practice and developed both the professional and personal skills that ensure you will receive expert advice, support and motivation from a caring practitioner. Nat loves to help people achieve their goals, get back to what they love and live life without worrying about getting injured or believing they just cannot do certain things anymore. If you want to do something, Nat will work with you to find a way.
Nat’s favourite part of her role is the variety of clients that walk through the door. Everyone’s story is different, and she loves to hear what makes you, YOU, and what she can do to help you. As well as keeping people moving freely as they get older, Nat also loves getting athletes back on the field and has helped many patients following knee ACL reconstruction successfully return to their chosen sport. Nat also loves helping someone become healthier whilst living with a chronic disease, so that life remain remains rich, meaningful and active.
Nat is a true local. Born on the Central Coast, she went to school at Gosford High and returned to work here once she graduated from university. Nat loves living with her husband Luke and their two young daughters in Terrigal. She also has a very large Great Dane that she loves to tell people stories about.
Nat describes herself as “having the mind of an athlete but not necessarily the body of one”. Though personal experience is not a must, it certainly helps. Through her time playing sports including rep netball, grade soccer, and many other team sports as well as road cycling and running, Nat has endured more than her share of injury. From the first ankle sprain at age 8, this meant a lot of regular trips to physio to manage injuries whilst playing sport. Nat also lives freely and actively with a chronic worn out knee and has fully recovered from an unlucky ruptured Achilles in 2022, so she definitely understands both being a patient and being a practitioner and competing with injuries. Nat also works out at the gym most days of the week and lives the healthy life that she promotes. If you want someone that will listen, cheer you on and help you on your journey using exercise as therapy, then Nat is the perfect fit to either get you back to your best, or keep you there. We’re lucky to have her on our team, and so are you.
